Regency Furnitures

You can find Regency Furnitures in the Old MIDC area, which is near Ganesh Chowk. We have been in this location for a long time now. The building is a bit old, but it gives us plenty of space for our woodworking machines and all the timber we keep in stock. It is a noisy place to work because there is always some sawing or hammering going on. We make all kinds of furniture here, from simple chairs to big wardrobes. We don't have a fancy showroom with carpets and spotlights. If you come to see us, you will see the workshop in full swing, with sawdust on the floor and pieces of wood leaning against the walls. We think it is better for people to see how things are actually made. We have a small staff of craftsmen who have been with us for years. They really know their way around a piece of teak or rosewood. We don't go in for big marketing campaigns or anything corporate like that. Most of our customers come to us because their parents or neighbors bought furniture from us years ago. It is a word-of-mouth type of business. The Old MIDC is a bit gritty, but it is a good place for making things. We stay busy with custom orders mostly. Every piece we make is a bit different because we do a lot of it by hand. It is satisfying work, even if it is tiring at the end of the day.
