New Maharashtra Steel And Timbers

If you head out toward Tehsil Jawali in the Satara district, you’ll find us at Molacha Odha, right opposite the ITI. We’ve got a bit of a mix here at New Maharashtra Steel And Timbers. Half the place smells like fresh cut wood and the other half is all cold iron and steel. It’s a big yard, and we spend a lot of time outside regardless of the weather. When the sun is beating down, the steel gets hot, and when it rains, the timber needs to be covered up quick. We are right by the stream, the Molacha Odha, so it’s actually a nice spot even if it gets a bit damp sometimes. The office is just a small room where we keep the records and have our tea. Local farmers and guys from the village come by quite often to get supplies for their sheds or fences. We aren't a big city corporation with a hundred employees. It’s just a handful of us who know our way around a saw and a welding machine. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the paperwork because we’re too busy out in the yard, but we catch up eventually. People know us as the place near the ITI where you can get honest materials. We don't have any big slogans. We just try to keep enough stock so that nobody leaves empty-handed. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know.
