Motherearth Health Foundation

Our place, Motherearth Health Foundation, is based in a village called Jakhangaon. It’s in the Satara district. We work out of the home of Babaso Abaso Bhagat. It’s a very quiet and green area, which is nice when you're thinking about health. We don't have doctors in white coats or expensive medical machines. We are more about the basics. We talk to the villagers about simple ways to stay healthy and take care of themselves. Since we live here too, we see the problems people face every day. Satara is a beautiful place, but the villages are sometimes forgotten when it comes to health stuff. We don't have a big budget or a fleet of vehicles. We just walk around or use our own bikes to get to people. The foundation is just a name we use to make things official. Really, it’s just us trying to help our friends and family stay well. People come by the house at all hours if they have a question. We don't mind. It’s just how things are done in Jakhangaon. We’ve been doing this for a while without much fuss. If you ever find yourself in this part of Satara, you’ll see it’s a very modest operation. We don't have much in the way of equipment, but we have plenty of time for anyone who wants to sit and talk about their health.
