Mahajan Sons

If you know the Khureji petrol pump, then you know where we are. We are right across from it in Shiva Market. It’s a crowded area, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home and trying to finish their shopping. Mahajan Sons has been our life for a long time. My father started things off and we just kept going with it. The shop gets pretty dusty because of all the traffic on the road outside, but we try to keep things organized on the shelves so we can find what people need quickly. It’s mostly just us handling the inventory and talking to the regulars who have been coming here for years. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a family thing. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the cars go by the petrol pump. Other days, everyone comes in at once and it gets a bit chaotic behind the counter. We don't really have a big philosophy or anything. We just show up every morning, open the locks, and see what the day brings. West Laxmi Market is a loud place, but it feels like home to us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but our little spot stays pretty much the same. It's a lot of hard work and long hours, but it keeps us busy.
