Kshal Social Foundation

Our office for Kshal Social Foundation is located at S. No. 9/1A/1- B 203. The flat number is Cg-2 in Siddhantwadi, which is out in Wai, Satara. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you're coming from the main city, but we like the pace of life in Wai. The building is a regular apartment block. We’ve set up our desks in the main room and turned the spare room into a storage space for all the materials we use. It’s not a polished corporate environment. There are stacks of boxes in the corner and the tea kettle is almost always running. We spend a lot of time talking to local people and trying to figure out what needs to be done. The work is mostly hands-on and doesn't involve a lot of sitting behind a screen, though we do have to handle the legal side of things. The weather here is usually nice, though it gets quite dusty in the summer. We know our neighbors well and sometimes they drop by for a chat. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big sign or a fancy entrance. We just have our name on the door and we get to work every morning. It's honest work and we do it from a place that feels like home to us.
