Khanderaya Nidhi Limited

Our small office is set up at Motiram Anna Patole’s place. It’s in the A Zone of Vaduj, which is part of Taluka Khatav in Satara. Khanderaya Nidhi Limited is just a local effort. We don’t have a massive building with a lobby. It’s more of a community spot where we keep our records and meet people from around the village. Being in Satara, we know the people who live here and what they need. We spend our mornings opening the mail and checking the accounts. It’s not flashy work, but it’s important to the folks who trust us with their savings. We have a few desks and some files. Sometimes the office gets a little crowded when a few people show up at once, but we manage. We use plain English and Marathi to talk to everyone. There are no big corporate rules here that don’t make sense. We just follow the basic guidelines for a Nidhi and keep things moving. You can find us right at the post area in Vaduj. Most of our members are just regular people from the neighborhood. We don’t do any fancy marketing. Word usually gets around by people talking at the market. We just focus on being there when the doors open and making sure the math is right at the end of the day. It’s a modest way to run things, but it works for our community in Maharashtra.
