Down in Shirwal, right near Adarsha Vidyalaya, you’ll find the Godrej & Boyce, Pvt Ltd.(Pune,Ready Mix Concrete) setup. We are located in the Khandala Taluka of Satara district. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s a busy area for us. Being near the school means we have to be extra careful with the trucks during the morning and afternoon when the kids are around. The site itself is quite industrial. There’s a lot of dust and the sound of the mixers is constant throughout the shift. Our office is just a small cabin on the edge of the yard. It’s got a bit of a lean to it and the air conditioner struggles when the Satara sun is really beating down. We handle the concrete orders for various building projects in the 412801 area. It’s practical work. We don't have time for marketing or looking fancy. Most of us wear work boots and high-vis vests all day. We eat our lunch sitting on whatever is available. The crew here is a tough bunch who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We deal with rain, heat, and mud, but the concrete keeps flowing. It’s a simple life focused on the daily output. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just here to provide the mix and make sure the trucks get to where they need to go. It is what it is.
