Gaurav General Store

Gaurav General Store is over in Narewadi, situated right near the Ramdev Temple. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, away from the main highway noise. Being close to the temple means we see a lot of people on their way to pray, especially on the weekends and festival days. The store is just a small room at the front of the building. We keep it stocked with the basic essentials that the people in Narewadi use every day. There isn't anything flashy about the place. We have a few old wooden cabinets and some glass jars on the counter for the smaller items. Most of our customers are the same neighbors we’ve known for years. We spend the quiet hours of the afternoon chatting with whoever stops by for a minute to rest. The street outside is narrow, so you won't see many big cars, just people walking or on scooters. It gets a bit dark inside when the sun goes down, so we have a couple of bright bulbs to keep the place lit up until we close. We don't have any big goals of becoming a chain; we are just happy being the local store for this part of town. It’s a simple job, weighing out goods and packing them into bags. We know which families like which brands and we try to keep those in stock on the shelves. It’s just home for us and we like it that way.
