Cafe Coffee Stop

Cafe Coffee Stop is right on National Highway No-4, over in the Ganesh Vihar area. We are pretty easy to spot since we’re near the Society Icici Bank. Being on the highway means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are just driving through and need a break, while others are locals from the bank or the nearby houses. It gets very loud with the trucks and cars zooming by, so we keep the doors shut most of the time to keep the noise and the dust out. Inside, it’s a bit more peaceful. We have a small counter and some seating that’s seen better days, but it does the job. We spend a lot of time wiping down the tables because the highway dust finds its way in no matter what we do. The coffee machine is usually running from the moment we open. We don’t have a fancy uniform or anything; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long shift. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to do everything by hand, which can be a bit of a mess. We have a little storage room in the back that’s always overflowing with supplies. It’s a busy little spot and we don’t have much time for standing around. We just try to keep the coffee hot and the place decent for whoever walks through the door. It’s a good enough way to spend the day.
