Post Salgare is where you will find our small office, right at House Number 459. It’s a quiet place, without a lot of noise or heavy traffic like you see in the bigger towns across Maharashtra. The office is basically a part of the house, which makes it feel very much like home for anyone who walks in to see us. We have been here for a bit now, and most of the neighbors stop by just to say hello even if they don’t have any specific business to do that day. It’s that kind of village where everyone is involved in what’s happening on their street. We keep the paperwork in some metal cupboards and use a basic wooden desk for the daily entries. There isn't any fancy air conditioning or bright neon lights, just the windows left open to let the natural breeze in. Salgare is a good place to be, and we feel quite lucky to have this setup at House 459. When the harvest season comes around, the whole area gets very busy, and we start to see more people coming through the doors. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the desk gets covered in stacks of papers when several people arrive at the same time. We don't mind it much, though. It’s just how a local office works. We take our time with each person. There’s no need to hurry when you are dealing with your own neighbors.
