Akum Drugs

Down here in Phaltan, specifically in the Barad area, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, which suits us just fine. Akum Drugs is our little operation based right at the post of Barad. It’s a rural setting, so we don't have the fancy skyscrapers or the constant buzz of a metro. Instead, we have a lot of space and a community where everyone knows who you are. We focus on pharmaceutical work, mostly handling the logistical side of getting medicines where they need to go in this part of the region. The building we work out of is pretty simple, just a sturdy place that keeps the rain out and the stock dry. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, but we’re used to that by now. We don't have a marketing department or a big PR team writing stuff for us. It’s just me and a few others keeping track of the ledger and making sure the supplies are handled properly. Working in Phaltan means we have to be resourceful because we can't just run across the street to a specialized store if a machine breaks down. We fix things ourselves or wait for the technician to come from the city. It’s a quiet life, but the work keeps us very busy, and we take it seriously without making a big fuss about it.
