Satara is our home base, specifically the Godoli area. We are located right behind the Kanse Hyundai showroom, so we always tell people to look for that landmark. We’re in the Lake Town Apartments in unit B-7. It’s a convenient spot because almost everyone in town knows where the car showroom is. We’ve been set up in this apartment for a while now. It isn't a huge space, but it’s plenty for the kind of work we do. We mostly focus on issues and projects happening right here in Satara. It’s a beautiful place to live, and we feel lucky to be here. We don't have a big board of directors or any fancy titles. We’re just local people who wanted to do something useful for the community. We spend our mornings going through whatever tasks are on the list, and our afternoons usually involve being out in the neighborhood. It’s just honest, simple work. Sometimes the apartment gets a little bit crowded with supplies and paperwork, but we don't really mind the mess. It makes it feel like a real home for our efforts. We aren’t trying to become some huge national organization with offices everywhere. Being local and knowing our neighbors is what actually matters to us. People often stop by just to chat or drop things off. It’s a steady way to live and we wouldn't have it any other way. Anyway, the mountain air here is great for staying focused on what needs to get done.
