Tajmahal Tiles

Tajmahal Tiles is located right on G. T. Road, directly opposite the Rohtas Stadium. Being near the stadium means there is always a lot of movement around here, especially on game days. G. T. Road is a huge highway, so we deal with a lot of dust and noise from all the heavy trucks passing by our door. Inside the shop, we have stacks of tile samples everywhere you look. They are piled against the walls and spread out on the floor so people can see the different patterns. It isn’t a sparkling showroom like the ones you see in big cities. It’s a working shop where the materials are the main focus. Customers often come in with their builders to look at the different sizes and colors we have in stock. We spend a lot of time moving heavy boxes of ceramics around so people can get a better look. It’s hard work and it can be quite tiring by the end of the day. We have a small wooden desk in the back where we handle the bills. It’s usually covered in pieces of paper and a bit of fine white dust from the tiles. We’ve been in Rohtas for a while and we know most of the local contractors who work around here. The name Tajmahal Tiles is on a big board outside. It’s just a straightforward place for people to buy what they need for their homes.
