Dev Trades

You can find Dev Trades in Ward No-21, right on Dharmshala Road. We are situated on Gandhi Path, which is pretty close to the Station Road area. It’s a central spot in town, so there is always a lot of foot traffic. The building is an older one, but it serves us well. We do various types of trading from this office. It’s usually just a couple of us sitting at the desks, looking over the inventory lists. The sound of the station isn't too far off, so we get a lot of people stopping by on their way to or from the trains. Dharmshala Road can get quite dusty, so we are often cleaning the front windows. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just Dev and the rest of the family handling the day-to-day trades. We keep a ledger for everything because we still like doing things the old way. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait to send emails, which gives us time to chat. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors to sit on. It’s a practical environment without any frills. We’ve been part of this ward for a long time and know the local rhythms. We just focus on getting the goods traded and keeping the business running smoothly without making a big deal about it. Everything is kept simple here.
