This organization is run out of a house in Mohali, specifically House No 1387 in Sector 68. It’s a quiet residential area, which is nice for focusing on the work we do. Waterlogged And Saline Agricultural Land Development Foundation is a long name, but it says exactly what we deal with. We focus on land that has too much water or salt to grow crops well. It’s a specific problem that a lot of farmers around Punjab face. We don't have a big fancy office building with a glass front. Instead, we work from here in Sas Nagar Mohali. It feels more personal that way. We spend a lot of time looking at soil reports and trying to figure out how to make land useful again. It’s slow work and takes a lot of patience. It’s rewarding when something actually starts growing where it couldn't before. We stay pretty busy with meetings and site visits. Sector 68 is a good base for us. We just take it one day at a time and try to be helpful where we can. It’s mostly about listening to the ground and the people.
