Mixture Machine

We are located right in the village at Post Mullanpur Sadar. If you are coming from Taluka Bassi Pathana, you just head toward the Gurudwara and we are right there. It is a pretty simple setup. We spend most of our days working on these machines, getting grease on our clothes and making sure things are bolted down right. The shop is usually open early before the sun gets too hot. You can hear the metal clanking from the street. It is not a quiet job, that is for sure. We have got some old tools that have been with us for years and some newer ones too. People from around the village stop by sometimes just to chat or ask about a part. The air smells like oil and dust most of the time. We do not have any fancy front office or air conditioning. It is just the workshop and the yard where we keep the bigger stuff. When it rains, the ground gets a bit soft, so we have to be careful where we park the heavy equipment. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. There is always a pile of scrap metal in the corner that we mean to clear out but never quite get to. We also hear the prayers from the Gurudwara nearby, which is a nice background sound for our daily chores. Most days we take a break when the heat gets bad and sit in the shade. It is a decent living.
