We are based in Shop No 318, up in Block-A of the Chd City Center. If you know Zirakpur, you know how busy VIP Road can get. There is always a lot of noise and cars moving around outside. Being in a big commercial center like this is different from being in a small shop on the street. We spend our days inside this office handling overseas applications. It’s a lot of scanning documents and making sure every signature is in the right place. We have a small window that looks out towards the parking lot. The elevator in the building is sometimes a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs. Most of the people who come to see us are looking to move or study somewhere else. We sit across from them at a simple wooden desk and go through their options. It’s practical work. We drink way too much coffee from the machine downstairs. By the end of the day, our eyes are usually tired from looking at screens. Zirakpur is a fast-growing place, and we see new buildings going up all the time around Sas Nagar. Our office is just one small part of that. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine. It’s a steady job and we keep ourselves busy with the paperwork. We usually lock up around six and head home in the evening traffic.
