We work out of House Number 29 in Vaishali Enclave, which is in Phase 1 of Baltana, Zirakpur. It is a residential neighborhood, so it feels very different from being in a commercial market. The street is usually lined with cars and kids playing in the evenings. Our office is basically a converted room in the house. It has a homey feel to it, which we actually like. There is a small garden out front that someone tries to keep tidy, though the weeds usually win. Being in the 140603 area means we are close to the main Zirakpur hub but tucked away enough to avoid the worst of the noise. We have a couple of computers set up on old dining tables. The internet connection can be a bit spotty when it rains, but we make do. It is a very informal setup. We wear our everyday clothes and drink a lot of tea while we go through our files. Neighbors often walk past the window and wave. It doesn't feel like a big organization at all, just a group of people working out of a house. We have some extra chairs in the corner for when visitors come by. The room gets a lot of sunlight in the morning, which makes it a nice place to start the day. We try to keep the noise down out of respect for the people living next door. It is a quiet way to get our work done.
