Star Bricks

You can find Star Bricks in Ward No. 3 of Golaghat. We are quite close to the Masjid, right by the post office in Chungajan. It’s a busy little corner of the world. People are always passing by on their way to prayers or to drop off mail. We started this place because we saw a need for bricks right here in the neighborhood. Our yard is usually a hive of activity with workers moving stacks around. Being near the Masjid means we hear the calls throughout the day, which gives a nice rhythm to our work hours. Golaghat can get pretty humid, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the cooler parts of the morning. Our office is just a simple room with some ledgers and a fan that squeaks a bit. We don't have fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people just walk in because they saw our piles of bricks from the road. Chungajan is a tight community and we feel a part of it. We deal with the mud when it rains and the dust when it’s dry. It’s nothing special, just a local brickyard doing its thing. We talk to the neighbors over the fence and share news about the town. It’s a humble way to make a living but it keeps us grounded. We make sure the bricks are stacked neat so they don't fall over.
