S K D Wood Works is over at 2/4/639 in the Nagole area of Saroornagar. If you walk by our place, you'll probably hear the saws running before you even see the sign. Sawdust is pretty much everywhere here, it’s just part of working with wood every day. We’ve been in Saroornagar for quite some time now, handling all sorts of timber projects. It's a noisy, dusty shop, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and joining pieces of wood together. It’s hard on the hands and the back, but there's a certain feeling you get when a project finally comes together at the end. We don't have a showroom with bright lights or fancy sales people. Most of our work happens right there on the workbench in the back. Sometimes we run behind schedule when the wood isn't behaving or a tool breaks, but that's just how it goes. 2/4/639 is a familiar spot for the locals who need something built or fixed. We aren't a big corporation, just a bunch of folks who know how to handle a hammer and a plane. Nagole is a busy place, and we fit right in with the other workshops around here. Every piece of wood has its own knots and grain, so no two days are ever really the same for us. We just keep the blades sharp and keep working through the pile of lumber we have out front.
