Our place, Sun Dairy Foods, is tucked away in Chaitanya Hills over in Meerpet. If you’re looking for Plot No 130, H No 3 173/3, you’ll find us there. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the milk starts coming in and the cooling units are humming. Dealing with dairy means early starts for everyone, usually before the rest of the neighborhood is even awake. It’s a lot of lifting crates and checking temperatures to make sure everything stays fresh. The yard can get a bit crowded when the delivery vans are loading up, and sometimes the noise of the refrigeration can be heard from the street. We’ve been in Meerpet for a bit, and people know us as the local dairy spot. It’s not a big corporate setup; it’s more of a family-run feel where things are a bit messy but functional. We have a few counters and some storage space in the back. Sometimes things get hectic when a batch is running late or a fridge needs fixing, but that’s just the nature of the dairy business. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the milk and curd out to people nearby. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the floor stays wet from cleaning, but it’s an honest day’s work for all of us here. It is a long day every day, but we manage.
