Down in Maruthi Nagar, we have our textile place set up at house number 1-7-186. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the rolls of cloth stacked up against the walls. We have been in the Kothapet area for a good while now, and the neighbors are used to the delivery vans coming in and out at odd hours. It is mostly just handling fabric, checking the weaves, and making sure the colors aren't faded or ruined. Saroornagar can get pretty crowded, so getting things moved around takes some real patience. We aren't a big mall or a fancy boutique with lights. It is more of a practical space where we keep the stock for the season. Sometimes the dust from the fabric gets everywhere, and we have to spend the morning cleaning the shelves. We have different types of material coming in from various weavers across the region. People come by to see what we have in stock for their projects or small shops. It is a lot of lifting heavy bolts of cloth and counting meters by hand. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days it is a bit chaotic with everyone wanting something at once. We just do our work here in Ranga Reddy and keep things simple. It is a local business run by local people.
