We operate out of Karoli Road, specifically near the Tehsil Mode. It’s a bit of a rugged area, which fits the kind of work we do at Mahakaleshwar Stone Industries. Dealing with stone is heavy, physical work and there is always a layer of grit on everything. We spend our days cutting, sorting, and moving stones of all sizes. The machines make a lot of noise, so it’s never exactly quiet around here. We’re located in a spot that’s easy enough for trucks to get in and out, which is the main thing we care about. The sun can be quite brutal when we’re out in the yard, but we just get on with it. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit; we’re usually covered in dust by ten in the morning. People from the local villages and nearby towns come to us when they are building something new. We don’t spend money on big signs or ads; word usually gets around just fine. The road can get a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially when the heavy rains hit Tehsil Mode. We just keep our heads down and focus on the inventory we have. It’s a simple setup, really. Just a yard, some heavy equipment, and a lot of stone waiting to be moved. We’ve been here long enough that the locals know our routine. It is just basic, honest labor every single day.
