Uqab Hoisting Marine Industry

We are located over at Plot No. 106 in the 52 Expansion Area, right off Station Road in the New Gidc Estate. It’s a busy part of the industrial zone. Most of our work involves heavy stuff, mostly related to marine gear and hoisting equipment. It's heavy work and the shop gets pretty loud when the cranes are moving. We spend a lot of time checking cables and pulleys. The air smells like grease and salt sometimes, depending on what we brought in for repair. It’s a big space but it feels small when we have several large projects going at once. We’ve got a crew that knows their way around a winch and a hoist. We don’t spend much on decorations or fancy signs. The sign out front is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. We try to keep things moving because there's always a truck waiting or a boat needing parts. Some days are longer than others, especially when a repair takes more time than we thought. We just get on with it. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we moved into the Gidc, and there is more traffic now on Station Road. We have a small corner for coffee and lunch. It’s just a regular workplace where we deal with heavy iron and steel every day. If you walk past, you'll probably hear the hammers going and see the guys working on the big chains.
