About Swapnodhara Grameen Welfare Association – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Saran
Down here in Purnanagarnokari, things move at a bit of a slower pace compared to the big cities. We’ve set up our office in Chapra to be close to the folks we actually work with every day. Most of the time, you’ll find one of us sitting at the big wooden table out front, probably drinking tea and looking over some documents. We deal with a lot of stuff related to the village life. It’s not fancy work, just making sure people get the support they need for their farms or their families. The building isn't much to look at, just a regular place with some posters on the walls and old wooden chairs that creak when you sit down. We get a lot of foot traffic from people walking in from the nearby fields. Sometimes it gets crowded when there's a meeting, but mostly it's just quiet work. We don't have a big website or a social media person. We just talk to people face to face. If someone has a problem, they walk over and tell us. That’s how we’ve always done it here. The roads get a bit muddy during the rainy season, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. It’s just how it is. We’re part of this community, so we see our neighbors every day at the market or the bus stop. We just keep our doors open and try to be useful to anyone who needs it.
