Ruwmee Organic Producer Company Limited is based out of Chapra, specifically in the Parsa area. You have to look for Jitesh Raj’s place in Shankar Di to find us. It’s a local operation, and we’ve been part of the Saran district for some time now. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We are just a group of people who wanted to focus on organic production because it makes sense for our health and our land. Most of our days are spent out in the fields or checking on the harvest near the Parsa P.O. area. We meet up at the house to talk about which crops are doing well and what we need to change for the next season. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from the area, but we like the quiet. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy offices. We just want to produce good, honest food that doesn't have all those chemicals in it. It's hard work and the sun gets pretty hot out here in Bihar, but we stick to it. Sometimes things don't go exactly to plan, like when the rain doesn't come on time, but we just keep moving forward. We're just a small local company doing our best with what we’ve got.
