Progrow Foundation

Progrow Foundation is based right here in Vill and Tola-Gulma. It’s part of the Ghanshyampur block. Chandraprabha Devi’s house is where we stay and do our work. It is mostly just neighbors helping neighbors. Sometimes the rain makes the local roads very messy, but we still manage to get together at the house to talk about what needs doing in the village. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything fancy like that, just this humble spot in Punhad. Most days you will find a few people sitting around outside discussing local matters and how things are going. It’s a quiet place, really. We try to keep track of what the families in Gulma might need from time to time. Life moves a bit slow in this part of Darbhanga. We started Progrow Foundation because we live here and see what is going on every day with our own eyes. It isn’t anything special. We just use the space at Chandraprabha Devi’s place to organize ourselves and keep things moving. People stop by when they have a problem or just want to share some local news with us. It has been this way for a while now. We know the people in the block and they know us. We are just part of the local fabric. No big city ways here, just plain village work. We focus on the things that matter to folks around here. It takes time, but we stay at it. We are just local people.
