Over in Siwan, specifically in the Dankhin Tola area, we have our small setup for the Professional Institute Of Technology India. It’s located in a part of Bihar where things move a bit slower than the big cities. We’ve got a few rooms where we keep our computers and desks for the students who come by. It isn't some high-tech campus with glass walls; it's a local building with walls that could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We spend a lot of time showing people how to use software or fixing hardware that has gone a bit wonky. The kids from around the neighborhood stop in to ask questions or see what we’re up to. We keep the doors open most of the day because the air can get a bit stale inside. During the monsoon, we have to be careful about the leaks in the roof, putting buckets down where they’re needed. It’s just part of being here. We don't have a huge budget for marketing, so most people find out about us by word of mouth from someone who lives on the same street. We focus on teaching things that people can actually use to find work or help their families. It’s simple, honest work, and we enjoy seeing the progress our students make over the weeks. Usually, we end the day by making sure everything is shut down properly and the heavy locks are on the door.
