Jeevdaya Sewa Foundation is run by a small group of us who grew up in this area. We have seen Hanuman Nagar change quite a bit over the years. Our office is not anything special to look at, just a regular building where we keep all our stuff. We spend a lot of our time walking around the neighborhood and talking to folks. It is better than sitting behind a computer all day. The work can be tiring, and sometimes we do not finish everything on the list, but we come back the next morning and start again. There are no corporate managers here telling us what to do. We just look at what needs to be done in Paikauli and we try to get to it. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get around, especially when it rains a lot. But we have lived here our whole lives, so we are used to it. People know where Ward No. 18 is, and they know they can find us there if they need something. We do not use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We are just neighbors helping neighbors. It is a practical way to live. We keep our records in old notebooks and try to keep things moving as best as we can without making any fuss about it.
