Imam Clinic

Imam Clinic is right in the heart of Keshopur Bazar in Gopalganj. If you know the bazar, you know how busy it gets, especially on market days when the whole street is packed with people and carts. Our clinic is right there in the middle of it all. It’s a small place, and it can get pretty dusty with all the activity outside. We spend a lot of our time just managing the flow of people coming in from the market. There’s always the sound of people bartering and vehicles honking right outside our door. Inside, we try to keep things as calm as we can. The walls have a few scuffs from years of people leaning against them while they wait. We don’t have a big fancy reception area, just a counter and some chairs that have seen better days. The floor is easy to sweep, which is good because we have to do it three or four times a day. Gopalganj is a lively place, and being in the bazar means we are never bored. We know the shopkeepers next door and often share a quick word with them during the slow moments in the afternoon heat. It’s a basic clinic for the local folks, and we don’t pretend it’s anything else. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who needs help today. It’s honest work in a very busy, noisy spot. We stay until the bazar starts to quiet down.
