Chhapra Blood Bank Foundation

We are located in Salempur, Chhapra, right in HariMohan Gali. The foundation is run out of Amarendra Kumar Singh’s place. It’s a local effort and we aren't a company that sells things. Our whole focus is on the blood bank side of things, making sure that when someone in Chhapra needs help, we are there to assist. It’s a very practical kind of work. We spend our days coordinating between donors and people who are in a medical emergency. It can be quite stressful because people usually call us when they are in a real panic. We don’t have a big, fancy medical center; it’s more of a community-run hub. Our team is small and we all live nearby. We don’t have any marketing materials or big slogans. We just rely on people knowing who we are and what we do. The Gali can be a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here, but most locals know the way. We’ve faced a lot of challenges with keeping things organized and finding enough donors, but we don't give up. It’s not about making money for us. It’s about being a resource for the town. Sometimes we have to stay up all night making phone calls to find a specific blood group. It’s just what we do. We’ve been part of the Salempur community for a long time and we plan on continuing this work.
