Bihar Health Clinic

Our clinic is situated in Lakri Bazar, which is in the Barharia part of Siwan. We are right near the Gramin Bank, so if you can find the bank, you’ve found us. It’s a very busy part of the market with people constantly moving about and bikes zooming past. We opened this place to give people a spot to go when they aren't feeling well. We deal with the usual stuff like fevers, stomach aches, and minor injuries. The building is older and the rooms are quite small. We have a few benches for people to sit on while they wait to be seen. It can get quite hot in the summer months because the ceiling fans only do so much. We keep our medical supplies in a glass cabinet in the corner. Most of the people who come here are workers from the bazar or families who live in Barharia. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know a bit about everything. Sometimes we have to send people to the bigger hospital in Siwan if it’s something we can’t handle here. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors. It’s a practical little clinic that serves the local community. We try to keep the costs down so everyone can afford to come in when they need to.
