Maurya International

Our office is over at Civil Lines in Pakri. It is a pretty normal place where we handle things for Maurya International. We have been in this same spot for quite a few years now. The building is not new, but it works for what we need. Most of our day is spent looking at papers and talking to people on the phone about shipping. It can get a bit loud outside when the traffic picks up in the afternoon. We have a few desks and some old chairs that we probably should have replaced by now. It’s just a small group of us here. We don’t have a big fancy sign outside. Mostly, we just get on with the work. My cousin handles the filing, and I deal with the clients. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall down the street. It’s a simple life. We aren't trying to be some huge international firm with thousands of employees. We just want to make sure the goods get where they are supposed to go without too much trouble. Pakri is a decent area to work in. You get to know the neighbors after a while. We stay late sometimes when there is a lot of paperwork to finish. It’s not always exciting, but it’s our business and we take it seriously. We try to be honest with everyone who walks through the door. That is just how we do things.
