Lal Carpets

Lal Carpets has been based in the Maryadaptti area for quite a long time. We use P. B. No 119 for our mail, but the real work happens right here on the shop floor. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of wool and dyes, which is something we have all grown used to over the years. Carpets are heavy and awkward to move, so a lot of our day is spent lifting, rolling, and unrolling them for people who want to see the patterns. Our building is not modern or fancy at all; it is just a big open space with high ceilings and enough light to see the work clearly. Maryadaptti is a decent place to be, and it is a bit quieter than the main center of town, which we appreciate. We do not have any big slogans or mission statements pinned to the walls. We just know how to handle the rugs and how to tell the different materials apart. Many of us have calluses on our hands from years of moving these heavy pieces around. We usually drink a lot of tea and talk about simple things while we work. It is not a business that can be rushed because quality takes time. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure every carpet is handled correctly. It is just a regular job for us, and we have been doing it this way for decades.
