Hotel Shiraz

Hotel Shiraz is located right on Station Road. Being this close to the railway station means there is always something going on. You can hear the trains coming and going throughout the day and night. For some people, it is a bit much, but most of our guests get used to the rhythm of the tracks. The building is old and has been part of this street for a long time. We don't have an elevator, so if you have a lot of bags, you will have to carry them up the stairs. We usually have someone around to help with that if they aren't busy with something else. The rooms are very plain. We have a bed, a small table, and a window that usually looks out onto the street. It’s a great spot for people-watching if you don't mind the noise. We keep things very informal here. You won't find anyone in a uniform or a big handbook of rules. We just treat people like they are stopping by for a visit. The plumbing can be a bit temperamental, especially when it’s cold, but we do our best to fix things when they go wrong. We mostly get travelers who are just in town for a day or two and need a cheap place to sleep. It is a simple life running a hotel by the station, and we like the people we meet.
