Apj Abdul Kalam High School

The school is located in Aurai, which is a busy spot in the Bhadohi district. Apj Abdul Kalam High School isn't a very large place, but we make the most of the space we have here. Every morning, you see the students arriving on their cycles or walking through the main entrance. The street outside can get quite loud with all the traffic passing through to other parts of the district. Inside, the classrooms are basic with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen many years of use. We spend a lot of time just organizing the schedule and making sure the registers are signed. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes when the heat gets bad in May, but we just open the windows and carry on. The staff room is small and usually filled with stacks of notebooks that need grading. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the usual things you find in a neighborhood high school. Most of us have worked here for a long time, so we know the families in the area quite well. It feels like a small community inside these walls. We aren't trying to do anything grand, just keeping the doors open and the classes moving along. It is a lot of work to manage a school in a place like Aurai, but we just take it one day at a time and do our jobs.
