USMAN CARPETS LLP

Usman Carpets has been operating out of the first floor in Nai Bazar for some time. Being in Bhadohi, we are surrounded by the trade every day. It's a crowded area over in Chandani Chok, so there's always something going on outside our windows. We spend a lot of our time looking at different piles of rugs and checking over the weaves. It's dusty work sometimes, but that's just how it goes with carpets. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep our records and meet with people who are interested in what's coming off the looms. We've got a lot of history in this part of Sant Ravidas Nagar. Some of the guys have been doing this their whole lives. We don't spend much on advertising or anything like that. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking up the stairs in the market. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay busy with the orders. Sometimes the shipments are late or the materials take a while to show up, but we manage. It’s just a local business trying to keep things moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable one. If you’re ever in the bazaar, you can usually hear the noise of the street coming up through the floorboards while we work.
