Singh Yadwinder Architect

This office is basically part of the house at H.No.496 in Street No.1 of Mahal Mubarak Colony. It’s a quiet residential area, which is a nice change from the main city roads. Singh Yadwinder Architect operates out of this space, and it feels more like a home than a corporate office. We have the drafting tables set up in what used to be a large room, and there’s always a smell of fresh tea coming from the kitchen. Since we are in the colony, we know most of the neighbors, and they often stop by to chat. It’s not unusual for a dog to bark outside right when I’m trying to focus on a complicated drawing. The light in the morning is really good for working, so I try to get the most difficult tasks done early. The furniture is a bit of a mix of things we’ve collected over the years. It’s comfortable, though. We don’t really have formal office hours; if the light is on, someone is probably working. Being in Mahal Mubarak Colony means we don’t get the heavy traffic, but it’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the other side of town. We just like the peace and quiet here. It helps with the creative part of the job. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure every line on the paper is where it belongs.
