Shiva Chills Rolls (P) Ltd. is located right on Raikot Road in Malerkotla. We are in the Sangrur district of Punjab. Our place is more of a factory than a regular office. You can hear the sounds of machines and metal all day long. We make rolls for different kinds of industries. It’s dusty and loud, but that’s the nature of the work we do. Most of the guys here have been working with these machines for a long time. We don't have a human resources department or a fancy lunchroom. We just have a small area where we sit and eat our rotis. The office part is just a small room at the front where we keep the books and take orders. Malerkotla is a small town, so everyone knows where we are located. We don't need big signs. We just focus on making sure the rolls are the right size and strength for the customers. Sometimes the raw material is late, and that throws off our schedule, which is frustrating. We just deal with it and work late to catch up. It’s hard work, and your hands usually end up dirty by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished brochures. We just show up, do the manufacturing work, and try to keep the machines running smoothly every single day. It’s honest labor.
