SEABA

If you drive down Sunam Road in Lehragaga, you’ll find us easily enough. SEABA has been part of the Sangrur landscape for some time now. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the buses arrive from all over. We have kids coming in from all the nearby villages and towns. The building is solid and we spend a lot of time keeping the grounds decent. It’s dusty out here in the summer, but that’s just how Punjab is during that time of year. We focus on the classes and making sure the students are actually learning something useful for their future. There’s always someone running in the hallway even though we tell them to walk. Our staff is mostly local folks who really understand the area and the parents' concerns. We have a playground where the grass struggles a bit in the heat, but the kids still play cricket and football there every chance they get. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day. You can hear the tiffin boxes opening and the shouting from a mile away. We don't really do anything fancy or over-the-top here. It’s just about showing up, teaching the lessons, and helping the kids grow up a bit. People in Lehragaga know us as a place that’s been around, and we like it that way. No big speeches, just daily work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows to let the air in and keep going.
