Punia Eye Gynae Hospital is tucked away on Lane Number 1 in Punia Colony. If you know the area, you know it's a pretty quiet residential spot most of the time, though it gets a bit jammed with cars in the mornings when everyone is heading out. We started this place because there wasn't much for eyes or women's health right in the neighborhood. It’s not a giant glass building or anything like that. It’s just a practical setup where we do what we can for the folks who walk in. Some days the waiting room is full and other days it’s just a few regulars. We deal with cataracts and checkups for the older folks, and then there's the maternity side of things which keeps us on our toes. The staff here are mostly local people who live nearby. We don't have a big fancy reception desk with a computer system that never breaks down. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk and we have to spend the evening sorting it out. It’s just how things go here in Punia Colony. We try to keep the place clean, though the dust from the road always finds its way in somehow. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live just a few houses down the street. It’s a straightforward job, looking after people's sight and helping out with family health. We’ve been here a good while now and the building shows its age a bit, but it works for us and the patients.
