Nishkam Sewa India Foundation

Our office for Nishkam Sewa India Foundation is located at 15B/200 in Dhuri, right near the M.C. Office. Being so close to the municipal office means there is always a lot of activity on our street. Sangrur is a good place to be, and Dhuri has its own busy energy that we have grown to love over the years. Our space is not very large, and it is definitely not polished. We have some old wooden desks and a couple of filing cabinets that are stuffed to the brim. The paint on the walls is a bit faded, and the floor has some scuffs from all the people walking in and out. We don't mind the mess much because it shows we are actually doing something. There is no receptionist to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find one of us sitting there. We spend a lot of time helping people with their problems, mostly just listening and seeing what we can do. It is not a high-tech operation. We use pens and paper more than we use computers. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but we are used to it by now. We are just a group of local people who wanted to give something back to Dhuri. We don't have a big budget or a fancy mission statement written on the wall. We just show up every morning and see who needs a bit of help today.
