Farid Dental Hospital

Being located right near the main bus stand in Chhapa Chhapa means that it is never truly quiet around here. You can hear the bus conductors shouting out the names of different towns all day long. We decided to set up this dental spot in this location because it is exactly where everyone passes through. If someone gets a sudden toothache while they are traveling, they can just hop off the bus and come right inside. We see a lot of people from the nearby villages who come into town for errands. The building we are in is quite simple and definitely nothing too modern. We have the standard dentist chairs and the basic tools needed for pulling teeth or fixing up cavities. Sometimes the dust from the road comes inside when the wind blows, so we are always cleaning the windows and the counters. It is a lot of work to keep up with. The waiting area is just a couple of wooden benches. People sit there with their bags and bundles, waiting for their turn while keeping an eye on the clock for when their next bus leaves. We do not have a big staff here. It is just a couple of us doing everything from the cleaning to helping the dentist. It gets very busy during the local market days. You can always smell the fresh tea from the stall across the road. We usually get our lunch from there too.
