Amber The Little Dream Foundation

We are out here in Village Badalgarh, which is in Tehsil Moonak. It is a quiet place and life moves at its own pace. We started Amber The Little Dream Foundation because the kids around here don't always have a lot to do or many places to learn new things. We aren't a big school or a rich charity. We are just some folks from the village who wanted to give the little ones a bit more. We set up in a small space where children can come and read or draw after they finish their chores in the fields. It gets very busy in the afternoons. Sometimes we don't have enough pencils or paper, but we make do with what we have. We try to teach them about things outside the village too. It is important for them to have dreams, even if they seem small to others. We also help out the families during harvest time when everyone is extra busy. It is a real community effort. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just talk to the parents and see what they need most. Some days it is just about making sure a kid has a pair of shoes that fit. We are just local people looking out for our own. It is a bit dusty and the building needs a fresh coat of paint, but the kids like it here. That is what matters to us most. We spend a lot of our time just listening to their stories and encouraging them to keep going.
