Fresh Wonder Farmers Producer Company Limited is a local group we started in Ekhatpur, which is in the Sangola area. We use Prabhakar Sadashiv Chandane’s place as our main point of contact. We are just a bunch of farmers from around here who thought it would be smarter to work together. In Sangola, the weather can be tough, and farming is always a bit of a gamble. By having this company, we can help each other out with seeds and selling our crops. We don't have a big staff or a fancy building. Most of our work happens out in the dirt, under the sun. We meet up when we can to talk about what we’re going to plant or how to deal with pests. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. We are just regular people trying to look after our families and our land. Some seasons are better than others, and we’ve had our fair share of bad years. But we keep going because it’s what we know how to do. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated plans. We just look at what needs doing today and we do it. It’s about making sure the harvest is good and that we can get a decent price for it. We’re just a small local group trying to make things work in Ekhatpur. It keeps us busy all year round.
