You can find Culcutta Clinic right in the Main Bajar of Nahar Garh. It’s a small place, very much tucked into the middle of all the daily market activity. If you step outside our door, you are right in the thick of people buying vegetables, clothes, and household items. The noise from the street never really stops during the day. We’ve been here for years, and the clinic has become a familiar sight for the shopkeepers and residents nearby. It’s a simple setup with a couple of rooms and a small desk where we keep the ledger. We don't use many computers here; most things are still written down by hand in big books. The doctor is usually in for specific hours, and people just line up and wait their turn. It’s the kind of place where you might have to stand if the few chairs we have are taken. We handle the basic stuff—fevers, stomach aches, and small injuries. If someone needs something really complicated, they usually have to go to the bigger city. But for the daily health needs of Nahar Garh, we are here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the door squeaks every time someone opens it. It’s just a plain, honest clinic in the middle of a busy bazaar. We know everyone and everyone knows us, and that’s how we like it. The sun sets early behind the market buildings.
