Whizz Confectionery is out in Tasgaon, which is in the Sangli district. We are right in the middle of the village, near the post office. It’s a different pace of life here compared to the big cities. We make various types of sweets and candies. The air in Tasgaon is usually dry, which is actually pretty good for making confectionery because things don't get sticky as fast. We are a small local team. Most of us grew up right here in Sangli. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make stuff that tastes good and sell it to the local shops. Our building is simple and practical. We spend our days boiling sugar and watching the temperature. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually covered in something sweet by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just like what we do and we like being in Tasgaon. When the harvest season comes around, the whole town gets busy, and we feel that energy too. It’s a nice place to have a business. We just keep our machines running and make sure the packets are sealed tight before they go out. It’s not complicated, but it keeps the lights on and the community sweet, which is good enough for us.
