If you go to Kharsundi, you will find Vijay Kumar Institute Of Information Technology near the bus stand. It is right there at the Post, which makes it easy to find for anyone coming into town. The bus stand is always buzzing with people, so there is a lot of energy around us all day. Our building is simple and fits right in with the other shops and offices in the area. Inside, we have set up several computers on long wooden tables. It is a bit of a contrast to the rural feel of Kharsundi, having all this tech in one room. We do not have a fancy interior designer; we just put the desks where they fit and made sure there were enough power outlets for everything. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow when the weather is bad, but we make do with what we have. It is a place where people from the village and nearby areas come to spend a few hours on the computer. We spend our days helping people log in or showing them how to use a mouse and keyboard. There is a small porch out front where people sometimes sit and wait for their buses to arrive. We usually have a bit of a chat with the neighbors while we are closing up for the night. It is a quiet life, even with the buses coming and going. We are just here for the people.
