You can find us in Daphlapur, which is part of the Jath taluka in Sangli district. It’s a fairly rural area, so things are pretty quiet compared to the big cities. The landscape is mostly open fields and small houses. Our office is a modest building that fits right in with the neighborhood. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. Inside, it’s just a regular workplace with wooden desks and some plastic chairs. We mostly focus on keeping the records straight and talking to the transporters who come through. The weather gets very dry here, so we always have plenty of water around. In the afternoons, the sun beats down on the roof, making it quite warm inside. We usually take a short break when the mail arrives. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to know what needs to be done. It’s a very straightforward way of working. No one wears suits or anything like that; we just wear what’s comfortable for the heat. We know most of the people in the village and often stop to chat on our way to work. It’s a slow-paced but steady life, and we are quite content with how things run in our little corner of Sangli. We just keep things simple and do our part to keep the business going.
