Omkar Plastic Industries

Our workshop is located in the Kundal area of Sangli, right in the Palus Taluka. At Omkar Plastic Industries, the day usually starts with the sound of the machines warming up. It gets quite warm inside when everything is running, especially in the afternoons. We handle a lot of plastic materials and molds, so there is always that specific smell of heated polymer in the air. The floor is often covered with crates and offcuts that need to be cleared away. We aren't a big corporate firm with shiny hallways. It is a practical space where we focus on getting the orders out to the local markets. The workers here are from the nearby villages, and we all just get on with the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is common in this part of the district, and we have to adjust our schedule. We spend our time checking the dimensions of the plastic parts and making sure the machines are fed with raw material. It is repetitive work, but it keeps the local economy moving. We have been in Kundal for a while now, and most people around the post office know where we are. It is just a regular factory setup where we try to stay busy and keep the production line moving without too much fuss or complicated systems.
